You go, girls!

A Girl Scouts chapter in Western Washington recently stood up for LGBT rights by returning a whopping $100,000 to a donor who was transphobic. The hefty donation came with a note from the donor that read, "Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls. If you can't, please return the money."

Instead of using the money to help 500 girls join Girl Scouts, the chapter took a stand and returned the money and is now asking you to help them re-raise the money. The group shared a video detailing their inspirational story.

"Recently, we received a $100K donation to help 500 girls participate in Girl Scouts. However, when the donor asked us to guarantee that the money wouldn't be used to help transgender girls, we gave the money back. Now, we've launched a grassroots campaign to raise back this $100K! Help us by donating, spreading the word, and showing the world that Girl Scouts is #ForEVERYGirl!" the Girls Scouts announced with the clip.

The video also shares the moving message, "Girl Scouts empowers EVERY girl regardless of her gender identity, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation. To make the world a better place, we won't exclude ANY girl. Every girl deserves access to a safe, friendly environment where she can stand up for what she believes in and be proud of who she is."
