Officer convicted of assault for pointing gun at civilian’s face

What blows my mind is that if the victim had told anyone about it without supporting video, no one would believe him. Basically, he was just walking into his house when a cop got all in his face and pulled a gun on him. Out of nowhere.

He was being dropped off at his house by his cousin. A cop pulled up to him, and demanded to know what they were doing. The victim replied that he lived at that house. The cop said that they were parked illegally. Which apparently was a lie.

Out of nowhere, the cop parked his car, got out, and ran over to the victim. Also out of nowhere, the cop pulled a gun on him, and threatened to shoot him. "I dare you to fucking fight me, son."

If he had told anyone this story, people would just say, "Yeah, but you must have done something to elicit this behavior. Cops don't just jump out of their cars and pull out their gun for nothing. It just doesn't happen. Where there's smoke, there's fire."
