Two 13-year-old Wisconsin girls to be tried as adults in Slender Man stabbings.

Did no one read the judge's reasoning? If they're tried as juveniles, any sort of mental health help will end before age 18.

His reasoning for trying them as adults is that when they get out of the correctional facility (before the age 18) is that they will be continued to be monitored and treated.

If they are treated as juveniles,

  1. The mental health care is not as good

  2. Monitoring/Healthcare would absolutely end before the age 18 (they'd essentially just be released back into the community with no continuity plan).

It doesn't seem unreasonable.
