Unknown trucker saves two women from drowning... when their SUV ran off a bridge and flipped, landing upside down in the water below. As soon as he saw that they were safe, he got back in his truck and left “as if nothing had happened.”

Acting less like a knight of the road, and more like the silent gunslinger with no name who saves the day and rides off into the sunset, one unknown trucker is being called a hero after saving two women from drowning after a car wreck, and then disappearing again without a trace.

The unknown trucker was on I-10 Eastbound near Scott, LA when two women in an SUV ran off a bridge and the car flipped, landing upside down in the water below.

According to firefighters who arrived at the scene, the trucker told them that the two women were both floating face down in the water when he reached them, but he jumped in and was able to pull both of them to the riverbank.

When first responders arrived, the trucker had the two women semi-conscious on the riverbank and stayed only long enough to tell them what had happened and make sure that the women were okay. According to the chief of police for the town as soon as he saw that they were safe, he got back in his truck and left "as if nothing had happened."

Both women were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for moderate injuries. They are expected to make a full recovery.

"In today's world, many are hesitant to assist total strangers," said the police chief. "Emergency medical officials firmly believe this act of kindness may have saved two lives."
